Paul Drinkall is a Chartered Civil Engineer, a Chartered Structural Engineer, and a Member of The Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation. He is entitled to use the prefix EUR ING, the designator letters awarded by F.E.A.N.I.
His career has taken him from junior site engineering with Contractors through to senior management with Consulting Engineers. He is currently operating through his own company, as a Consultant assisting Domestic and Commercial Clients, and available for Contract roles with various authorities and organisations.
In his career with Contractors, he gained experience of Pre-tender planning; Quantity surveying; Contract planning; Setting out of roads, drainage, and structures.
In his career with Consultants, he gained experience designing in a variety of materials, on both civil and structural engineering projects; managing the design of drainage works; highway works; and structures, using computer-aided design where appropriate.
He has accumulated a wealth of experience on site, encompassing: Measurement; Establishing Target Costs for Construction; Monitoring the programme and progress of Contractors works; Establishing Variations and Final costs; Resolution of claims / compensation events
In association with design works, he has experience in the preparation of: Specifications and contract documentation for new build and remedial works schemes, and highway maintenance schemes; Feasibility studies, including reporting and costing of identified scheme options; Structural inspections and the preparation of reports for domestic, commercial and industrial properties; Acted as expert witness at planning appeals.
